Gift donations - Rauma


Who is organizing the collection?

The Rauma Junior Chamber of Commerce is organizing the gift collection in collaboration with Rauma Seudun Tules ry and the FAKE Theater Association.

Can I donate money?

Cash donations cannot be accepted for the JouluILO collection.

However, monetary donations can be directed to the ILO Fund, which aims to promote the well-being of children and youth in the Rauma region. The ILO Fund provides grants and support for activities that enhance well-being for both individuals and community projects that benefit children and youth.

Please include the donor's name in the message field.

The fundraising permit number is RA/2022/1591.

Funds raised will be used in accordance with the purpose of the ILO Fund to support the well-being of children and youth in the Rauma region.

Cash donations cannot be made to the JouluILO collection. However, you can direct MobilePay donations to the ILO Fund.

Where is the collection being held?

The collection point is located at Prisma Rauma (Porintie 4). Members of the Rauma Junior Chamber of Commerce will be present at the collection point to receive gifts and provide tips and advice related to the collection. If you are donating the gifts outside of the service hours, INFO point in Prisma will receive them.

This year, the collection will take place from December 7th to December 15th, 2024.

Who will the gifts go to?

The JouluILO collection gathers gifts for children and youth aged 0-18 who might otherwise go without a present. The gifts collected in Rauma will be distributed to local children and youth in Rauma.

Can the gift be handmade?

Yes, it can. Gifts can be handmade or new, intact, and clean items, including clothing or gift cards. Used gifts cannot be donated to the collection.

How do I submit a gift wish?

You can submit a gift wish for the Rauma collection through a form that will be published in November.

Get a Gift

You can bring a handmade or new, unused gift to the collection. You can find gift suggestions below, and gift cards are also popular.

Remember not to wrap the gift.

Attach a Gift Tag to the Package

Please label the gift tag with the recipient's information, whether it’s for a GIRL or BOY, and the appropriate age for the gift.

For gift cards, write the amount on the tag along with the store where the card can be used.

Gift tags can be obtained at the collection point.

Deliver the Gift to the Collection Point

The collection point is located at Prisma Rauma.

Members of the Rauma Junior Chamber of Commerce will be there to receive your gift. If you are donating the gifts outside of the service hours, INFO point in Prisma will receive them.

Tips for Choosing a Gift

  • 0 - 1 years

    Plush toys, baby Brio train sets, wooden puzzles (with a maximum of 6 pieces), clothing in size 80 cm, shoes in size 23, hardcover books, and activity toys.

  • 2 - 4 years

    Picture and storybooks, nursery rhymes, toy cars, tractors, excavators, trains, wooden toys, LEGO sets (with age recommendations on the packaging), puzzles (with a maximum of 16 pieces), drawing supplies, crayons, dolls with accessories, plush toys, Paw Patrol toys, playdough, plastic dishes and kitchen items, My Little Pony products, Pippi Longstocking books, skis, ice skates, sleds, shoes in sizes 28-30, clothing in sizes 86-92 cm (for 2-year-olds), and clothing in sizes 104-110 cm (for 3-4-year-olds).

  • 5 - 6 years

    Toy cars, tractors, excavators, drawing supplies and coloring books, LEGO sets (with age recommendations on the packaging), skis, ice skates, Pokémon toys, Spiderman, Turtles, Angry Birds, and similar toys, games, and activity books (preschool-style), Baby Born dolls and doll accessories, puzzles, My Little Pony toys and merchandise, Click It's and similar jewelry, mittens, Mini Bratz dolls, Barbies, and Frozen toys and merchandise.

  • 7 - 10 years

    Board games, sports equipment and clothing, hockey sticks and pucks, outdoor games, computer games, gift cards, school supplies (e.g., pencils, erasers), DIY jewelry kits, clothing, crafting supplies, and Barbies.

  • 11 - 15 years

    Gift cards are by far the most popular gift request.

    Additionally, there are movie tickets, board games, power banks, sports equipment and clothing, outdoor game supplies, floorball and hockey sticks and pucks, jewelry, DIY jewelry kits, youth clothing, and books. Hygiene products (such as shampoo and conditioner sets, perfumes, etc.) are also welcomed.

  • 16 - 18 years

    Gift baskets, movie tickets, power banks, headphones, board games, sports equipment and clothing, outdoor game supplies, floorball sets and hockey sticks and pucks, jewelry, youth clothing, and books. Dining utensils or textiles for a first home, as well as hygiene products (such as shampoo and conditioner sets, perfumes, etc.) are also appreciated.
